Life has a way of serving you just the right things at the right time.
My heart was so set on going to Europe for my next vacation.
Italy, Barcelona, Venice, Milan, Tuscany...oh all those romantic spots.

The Cinque Terre is an interesting tourist destination on Italy's coast, five villages between
the sea and 18 km of rugged, terraced hillsides towering above. You can walk between the
towns for spectacular views. The five towns are: Monterosso al Mare (the largest), Vernazza,
Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The Via dell'Amore, a walking path carved out of the
rock, links the last two.

Somehow things just didn't flow that way.
Instead everything pointed cruise.
A vacation that required very minimal organization and thinking.
Never found the thought of being on a ship to be exciting.
Yet, now that I've decided to just explore and see...I'm thrilled.
Going to check out one of the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and some other spots I've never been to.
Exploring the unknown.
I'm squeezing in a day and a half of Disney World of crazy running around like a kid just before the cruise.
And then RETREAT!!! Being on a boat doing everything or nothing.
Either way is cool.

It's been so long that I've just done nothing. Such an alien thought.
Not only have I been counting down the days, I've been counting down the years because this has truly been a longtime dream of mine.
Each time I carve out the time just for myself to be present, to listen...that's when I had the biggest AHA's.
To retreat is to take a step back, take a look at where you are in your life, and in your journey toward your higher intuitive self, and to take a breath and accumulate the tools, the insight, and the experiences to catapult you forward on your journey.
It is finally time to take a couple of steps back to get a running start for 2011.
Here we go, seven pure, unadulterated days of eating, sleeping and dreaming. I can't wait to share every single sublimely sexy detail with you when I return.
I am curious to see what bizarre adventure I can create on cruise ship.
